The day I died

 So today I went out to the open sea there was this gross weird stuff I saw urtle the turtle eating it so I tried some I was the grossest thing I have ever tried the I saw this tube thingy go up urtles nose so I went to urtle he was cry saying it hurt I used my tail to pull it out it didn't work then I started to get pains then I felt so dizzy I was tumbling around like crazy then my razor sharp tail went straight through urtles fin I couldn’t pull out urtle was silent then i was gone just like urtle.

The man that changed everything

I was walking on the street. Suddenly the road went up on a 90 degree angle.
Buildings started collapsing they were falling people scream   I tried to run up
the 90 degrees to help I fell and hit my head that's how I blacked out. when I
woke 1 minute later a huge chunk of building was coming my way. I ran as fast
a I could and then I checked my phone. My sarget had been calling and need
my help so I ran to my car and went to the station I went in his office where he
was. He asked me to solve who made the 90 degree turn on the road. As I was
walk on the road I saw a man through a window so I burst through his door ran
up stairs he must have done it he jumped out the window and was running
away and just as I saw that I saw this blue static. I spent hours searching the
house there was something a blue lightning bolt it had a hole and in the was a
pill it was cyan and white so I took it with me and didn't tell sarge so I took and
something came through the 90 degrees a huge evil swamp monster so I got
out of the car with the lighting bolt started to rise up I was flying and I thundered
the monster and I figured out the 90 degrees is a portal to realm that only these
monsters can come through so I defeated the monster with my new powers
and I saw the man my heart was pounding and I thunderstriked him and took
him to the station

Once as I was on the beach with my family eating fish and chips
you now all that so I felt like a walk so I asked mum saying I will
only be 5 minutes so of course she said 2  minutes so I said
yeah ok cause she is impossible to negotiate with so I started to
walk when I got 100 meters away out of sight I saw a block of
wood our what I thought was a block of wood it was in a cool
shape so being me I picked it up and by now 2 minutes was up
so I walked back with this piece of wood when I got back the
family was packing up so later the night I woke up and the
wood was glowing so i grabbed it and  went out and throw it on
the road then a zombie came out I closed and locked the door
and went back to sleep In the morning the wood was on the
road and the zombies gone I thought they must only come
out at night

Information report Minecraft

Minecraft

If you don’t know what minecraft is, it is a blocky simulation game where you can build, mine,
fight, craft.

In creative and survival you can build amazing buildings from redstone contraptions, to the
most futuristic house. You can make anything in minecraft.

Minecraft is a game that never stops getting updates. The newest update is 1.13 also known as
update aquatic. It has brought sea life to minecraft and made the ocean better with  coral and
2 new evil mobs the phantom and the drowned. Now there are salmon, cod, fish, tropical fish,
and dolphins plus turtles. The new weapon is a trident that can be thrown.

In minecraft there are lots of mobs evil and good. You can kill mobs with anything. If you hit a
wolf or a zombie pigman and dolphins they will attack you as a group and won’t stop.  Some
of the evil names are zombies, skeletons, spiders, creepers, endermen and slimes there are
many more. The enderman is based on the myth of slenderman they have long legs and arms
and a tiny body. If you stare an enderman in the eyes he will teleport around trying to attack you.
The creeper was meant to be pig but notch got his x and y s messed up and he had the creeper
he retextured his skin and put him in the game and they will explode when near you.

In minecraft you have three game modes creative, hardcore and survival.

In survival you have to survive. You need to mine to get resource and craft to get tools.

At night the mobs spawn and if you don’t sleep the mobs will attack you. In hardcore you
have one chance to survive if you die you go into spectator mode and you can see how you
died. In creative you can’t die you have every item and unlimited resources and you have a
chance to build anything.

In conclusion Minecraft is a game for all ages and a game where you can express your creativity.                    

Why Matariki is important

Why Matariki is important

Matariki is an important time of Māori  culture. It is the new year where they harvest crops like kumara. Next people remember loved ones who have past away and people set goals.

First we prepare for the year ahead by harvesting kumara and other crops and replanting. When it is matariki people have feast like hāngīs.

Secondly people have time to remember who has past away and remember loved ones as well. People tell stories about the seven stars.

Finally people set goals for the year to succeed and people try new things.

The reason matariki is so important because it celebrates Māori culture and the Māori new year with lot’s to do. That's why I think matariki is so important.

In room 8 we have been learning about matariki and Vincent van gogh so we made starry night with seven stars of matariki then we made a poem it could have been matariki or starry night I did starry night. doing this I lernned lot's about matariki It was an amazing experience.
